About
Hi, I’m Aaron Conaway — a network engineer who occasionally puts words on the internet.
I’ve been working in networking for a long time, mostly in enterprise and service provider environments. Over the years I’ve built things with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, FortiOS, and whatever else gets thrown at me. These days I spend a lot of time thinking about network automation, which mostly means I write Python and try to convince others that NetBox should be the source of truth for everything.
I am not a developer. I will remind you of this frequently.
I was a Cisco Champion and a Juniper Ambassador for a time and have had the privilege of attending Tech Field Day and Network Field Day events as a delegate. I’ve also appeared on the Packet Pushers podcast.
My code is on GitHub. It works, probably.
Aaron’s Worthless Words has been running since 2007. The title is self-deprecating; some of the words are okay.
